Triangle అనునది ఒక Polygon అని మనకు తెలిసిందే. Triangle లో మూడు Sides మరియు మూడు Angles ఉంటాయి.
Similar Triangles ని తెలుగు లో సరూప త్రిభుజాలు అని అంటారు.
రెండు త్రిభుజాలలో corresponding angles సమానంగా ఉండి corresponding sides lengths same ratio లో ఉంటే అటువంటి Triangles ను Similar Triangles అని అంటారు.
రెండు త్రిభుజాలలో corresponding angles సమానంగా ఉంటే ఆ Triangles ను equiangular triangles అని అంటారు.
Thales అనే శాస్త్రవేత్త equiangular triangles కోసం ఒక అద్భుతమయిన theorem చెప్పారు.
Thales Theorem: రెండు equiangular triangles లో any two corresponding sides ratios సమానంగా ఉంటాయి. దీనినే Basic Proportionality Theorem అని కూడా అంటారు.
రెండు త్రిభుజాలలో corresponding angles సమానంగా ఉంటే ఆ Triangles లో corresponding sides same ratio లో ఉంటాయి. వీటిని similar triangles అని అంటారు.
మనకి similarity criteria లు మూడు ఉన్నాయి
AAA Similarity Criteria: If two angles of a triangle are respectively equal to two angles of another triangle, then by the angle sum property of a triangle their third angles will also be equal.
SSS Similarity Criteria: If in two triangles, sides of one triangle are proportional to (i.e., in the same ratio of ) the sides of the other triangle, then their corresponding angles are equal and hence the two triangles are similar.
SAS Similarity Criteria: If one angle of a triangle is equal to one angle of the other triangle and the sides including these angles are proportional, then the two triangles are similar.
